 Pro Silk Ceramic Digital Curling Iron

I really love this curling iron!  It heats up SUPER quickly, has a professional length cord (9 FEET!) and doesn't leave any signs of damage or ugly creases on the hair.  My favorite part is watching it heat up- it gives a digital temperature reading and you wouldn't believe how quickly it goes from off to 220º degrees!

My only wish is that it came in more colors.  I would prefer black.

I'm so excited about the Brooklyn Industries Winter 2009/2010 Lifestyle Campaign coming up this Wednesday! I did a similar shoot with them last year-- remember the "Young Lords" dancing around with models and champagne?? Luckily, they called me again this year for the new campaign.

Beauty Story: Sam Norval, B.Brill for One Small Seed Magazine

I started very natural for the first look- the models still looked like they had "bare faces" when I was finished. I basically concealed spots and blemishes, evened out the skin tone by covering any redness, added a little color to the brows, and added a light pink highlighter to the brow bone & inside corners of the eyes. I finished the look off with a little vascaline on the lips and at the highest points of the cheeks.

For the second look, we took one element of the girl's faces (lips, cheeks, eyes) and played it up with intense bright purples, burgundies & red/oranges thanks to Nars Blush- Exhibit A which is my FAVORITE right now!
