Trend Alert: Long Rounded Shape in Muted Manicure Shades.

Look closely at the PERFECT shade of green nails at Jean-Paul Gaultier SP/10 Haute Couture show I have a feeling it was a shade by Chanel named Jade

Nail SHAPE is important this Spring too.  Short, square shaped nails are OUTLong, rounded nails are IN! For the ultimate fashion statement choose muted colors like lavander,  pale yellow and sea green.

Tip: Use up the rest of your dark shades (especially black) because as Spring rolls around-- they will officially be OLD NEWS.

GIRLS: Don't be afraid to add a dark eyeliner.

Brooklyn Industries SP10

Dear Girls: Don't be afraid to add a dark eyeliner to your upper lash line!  It will do WONDERS bringing out your eyes.   Have you ever looked at yourself in a mirror that's across the room?  Stand a couple meters away from the mirror and look at yourself before & after a little smudgy eyeliner...    You'll see that a little liner does wonders for your "from across the room" sex appeal.

Note: Apply along the outer half of your upper lash line and smudge carefully in an outward motion.

Just up! New Brooklyn Industries SP10 w/photog Jakob Axelman & stylist Allison Miller

There are cooler ones on the website too-  I just have to wait to get copies.
I love the edginess Allison brought to the clothes with her styling.   It's such a great perspective for Brooklyn Industries.   Oh and the photography of Jakob Axelman was so distinct.   He makes everything look raw & gorgeous but still "real life".

I really like how the makeup (by: B.Brill) looks here.   It's like the girl that is naturally beautiful yet still isn't afraid to play with makeup.

Beauty Trend: A dark mouth is the new smokey eye!

Beauty Trend Alert:  Attention to the lower half of the face... it's not all about eyes anymore.  A dark mouth is the new smokey eye!  Use light colors on eyes to enhance the effect of a dark, mysterious and sexy lip.  Line lips first for smudge-free, long-wearing color.

Product Review: Universalist Stick by W3LL PEOPLE

This product is a good one although, it took me a minute.  I found the Universalist (by W3LL People) to be a key element in my skin brightening routine.

It has occurred to me that many of products on the market are best without the interference of other products.  Too many products on top of each other can cause strange, not-so-pretty reactions such as cakiness.  This is true with this product.  It works best on naked or nearly naked skin, and boy does it.

This soft, sweet-smelling stick melts into all the shadowy contours of the face, shining light on even the darkest crevasses.  Use the Universalist when you're feeling bright and cheery but your complexion is saying otherwise.  Use after plenty of moisturizer and BLEND BLEND BLEND!  Even light/glowy products lose their allure unless properly blended and therefore disappearing on the skin.

I used it around my eyes; near my tear ducts, on the bridge of my nose (make a thin straight line from top to tip) and on my brow bone for an overall healthful, dewy glow.

Tip: Avoid using too much powder as it will dull the glow of the stick.

Rave: Overall healthful, dewy glow.

Rant:  Interactions with other makeup products.
On a scale of 1-10, I would rate this product a 9!

Product Review: Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum (Organic Solution)

Recently I've been using this delicious smelling serum to help clear up my "changing season" skin.   I ALWAYS breakout this time of year but this year I've been determined to not let my skin get out of control.  My skin is easily irritated so acne products can actually "hurt".    This Blemish Clearing Serum from Beautorium is amazing.  It's organic, which I love and has the best combination of citrus/tea tree oil smell.   It helped my pimples heal quickly without irritation.  Also-- you can wear it under makeup and it smells really clean and fresh.

Rave: Smell, Results
On a scale of 1-10, I would rate this product a 10!

Time saving, price comparing, online retail therapy gem... Freshdeals.com

I stumbled across this website, Freshdeals.com while searching for new Yves Saint Laurent brushes...

I'm trying to YSL-ify my entire makeup kit.

This site actually searches through a ton of websites to find the best deals on specific products.   When I looked,  I found  2,000 YSL products to choose from... I'm in heaven.    After choosing a specific product,  Freshdeals comes up with a list of websites that offer the individual product, each site's price and a link to the product on their website.   You don't even have to search- just add it to your shopping bag and check-out.

I love designer cosmetics but have trouble ever finding "deals" on them.   I've always figured there is one price until it's discontinued or from ebay.  Not true.  I've wanted this Yves Saint Laurent product called "Bow Collection Multi Usage Palette" but the $50 price at Sephora is just too high.   I'm a makeup artist so when I purchase makeup,  I plan on going through it pretty quickly.   I notice such a difference when using high quality products though.   It always ends up being a toss up... cheap vs. chic.   Luckily, this site did the leg work for and found the exact same thing for $29.50.

Oo La la  cheap AND chic!

Mothy Inspiration...

B.Brill Product Review, Pro Silk Ceramic Digital Curling Iron 1"

Pro Silk Ceramic Digital Curling Iron
I really love this curling iron!  It heats up SUPER quickly, has a professional length cord (9 FEET!) and doesn't leave any signs of damage or ugly creases on the hair.  My favorite part is watching it heat up- it gives a digital temperature reading and you wouldn't believe how quickly it goes from off to 220º degrees!

My only wish is that it came in more colors.  I would prefer black.

Rave: Cord Length, heat, results
Rant: Color options?
On a scale of 1-10, I would rate this product a very high 9.5

Yves Saint Laurent Multi-Action Concealer- Review

I'm in love with this YSL (# 1 Ivory Beige) concealer! It is a super creamy, opaque formula with a ton of pigment, yet dries with a powder-like finish.

With other products, my under-eye circles seemed to reappear before I got to my desk! With one midday touch-up, a dab of this YSL concealer made my sleepy eyes look bright and rested.

At $34, this product is well worth the investment and the bright gold will look SUPER cute on your vanity!
